Experience the mystic beauty of East Java, where majestic volcanoes meet surreal landscapes. This journey will take you through the otherworldly scenery of Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen, two of Indonesia’s most breathtaking natural wonders. From the sea of sand and glowing sunrise over Bromo to the turquoise sulfur lake of Ijen, this is an adventure that combines tranquility, wonder, and raw natural power — a true highlight for travelers seeking authenticity and natural splendor in Indonesia.
Wake up before dawn (around 04:00 AM) and hop aboard a 4WD Jeep for a thrilling ride across the Sea of Sand to reach the foot of Mount Bromo. Begin a short hike up the 245 steps leading to the crater’s rim.
As the first light of dawn touches the horizon, witness one of Indonesia’s most iconic sights — the sunrise over Bromo, with the majestic Mount Semeru standing tall in the background.
After soaking in the panoramic view, continue to Seruni View Point for a different perspective of the Tengger Caldera before returning to your hotel for breakfast.
Later, drive towards Banyuwangi, on the eastern tip of Java, passing through scenic countryside, rice fields, and small coastal villages. Upon arrival, check in at your resort and unwind.

Very early in the morning (around 04:00 AM), depart for the Ijen hiking experience. A local jeep will take you to the trailhead where your walk begins through a lush rainforest filled with bird songs and cool mist.
At the summit, you’ll discover the breathtaking turquoise lake — a surreal, sulfuric crater surrounded by rugged cliffs. Watch local miners collecting bright yellow sulfur with simple tools, a humbling scene that reflects the resilience of Javanese mountain life.
After descending, return to the hotel for breakfast and some rest before checking out. Then continue your journey with a ferry crossing to Bali, arriving in Pemuteran, a tranquil coastal village on Bali’s northwestern shore.
