Flight Disruptions Affecting Travel to Indonesia

Warm greetings from Indonesia.

In light of the recent escalation of the crisis in the Middle East, a significant number of flights connecting Europe and Africa with Asia, including Indonesia have been cancelled. The disruption follows the closure of airspace across several key Gulf transit hubs such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Riyadh.

As a result, many travellers have become stranded in Bali while waiting for alternative flight arrangements. In addition, a considerable number of travellers have postponed or cancelled their planned trips to Indonesia.

In response to this situation, we would like to outline the measures we are taking:

  • KBA DMC remains fully committed to coordinating closely with our partners and suppliers to ensure that all changes or cancellations prioritise the safety, comfort, and well-being of our customers.
  • We are implementing mitigation strategies and alternative planning for travellers scheduled to visit Indonesia.
  • We are making every effort to ensure that customers are not subjected to cancellation fees for changes resulting from the situation in the Middle East, which qualifies as a force majeure event.
  • Our reservations team will coordinate meticulously with all partners to ensure that every affected traveller receives proper support and follow up.

We sincerely hope that conditions in the Middle East stabilise soon, allowing major transit hubs to resume normal operations and enabling global tourism to return to regular activity.

Warm regards,

I Putu Winastra
